Spring Plant Swap

HOME
Thanks for allowing us to serve our community for the past 21 years!

Plant of the Month: Quince Chaenomeles japonica

Quince is an old-fashioned deciduous spring flowering shrub that will grow in full sun to part shade. It is well adapted to the north Texas area
and can be found in pink, red, or white. It starts blooming in late winter and the flowers will last two to three weeks. Quince will grow about 6
feet wide and 4 feet tall. The variety, 'Texas Scarlett' is the most heat tolerant for our area. The foliage after the flowers fade is unremarkable.
